2. Your contract
These terms apply when you buy the Complete CIRE Course on ciroprep.com. These terms, together with the purchase-specific course summary shown to you before you order and repeated in your confirmation email, form your written contract with CIROPrep for the Complete CIRE Course.
It is a single six-month contract with a total price of CAD $199, paid in two instalments. No sales tax is charged. It is a service contract involving sequential performance for instruction, under Québec's Consumer Protection Act. It is entered into at a distance, through ciroprep.com, on the date of your order, and is deemed entered into at your address. The service is provided online, at https://ciroprep.academy; it takes place at no physical location.
3. What the course includes
The Complete CIRE Course gives you access to all nine elements of the CIRE syllabus, in English and French, at ciroprep.academy:
- the lessons of each element, covering each of its parts;
- their practice questions, with the explanation for each answer;
- their summaries, flashcards, mind maps and exam tips;
- the exam simulator and its mock exams.
Everything the product page describes is available as soon as your access starts. The course doesn't include tutoring.
4. Price and payment
Total contract price: CAD $199. No sales tax is charged.
The price is payable in two instalments of CAD $99.50 each:
- first instalment: when your access is activated;
- second and final instalment: three months after your access is activated, on the date stated in your contract.
No automatic renewal and no third instalment. The two instalments are the only amounts you have to pay under the contract.
First instalment. You pay it by card, at checkout on ciroprep.com, through Shopify. Checkout shows the amount before you pay. Your card is authorized when you place your order and charged only once your access is activated (clause 5). If the charge is declined, your access is removed and the order is cancelled.
Second instalment and non-payment. The second and final instalment is due on the date stated in your contract: the same calendar day three months after your order date, or the last day of that month if that day doesn't exist. CIROPrep will send you a secure link to make that payment. The card used for your first instalment is not kept by CIROPrep for purposes of charging the second instalment. This payment does not create a new contract or extend your access period.
If the second instalment is not received by its due date, CIROPrep will send you written notice and give you at least seven calendar days to make the payment or send us a cancellation notice.
If the payment remains outstanding after that period, a person at CIROPrep may review your account and suspend your access until the amount due is paid. Suspension does not automatically cancel the contract. CIROPrep does not count days of suspension as services provided when calculating any later cancellation amount.
If access is restored after payment, its end date will be extended by the number of days it was suspended.
The service is spread over the days of your access period, 181 to 184 days depending on the start date; your order confirmation shows the exact number. The daily rate is the total contract price, $199, divided by that number of days, and it is the same for the whole term of the contract. This rate is used for the calculation the Act provides if you cancel (clause 6).
5. Your access
Your access is activated after your first payment is authorized and before your card is charged. Sign in to ciroprep.academy with the email you used to pay.
Access lasts 6 months from activation, and then ends on its own. Your order confirmation shows the start date, the end date and the number of days. Nothing is charged when it ends.
Access is for one person. Please don't share your sign-in or copy the content for others.
6. Cancellation
You may cancel your contract at any time under Québec's Consumer Protection Act. Send us the cancellation form in clause 12 or any other written notice, including by email to admin@ciroprep.com. The contract is cancelled when the form or notice is sent.
After service has begun, we calculate the amount payable under the applicable rules: the price of services already provided, using the daily rate stated in your contract, plus the penalty permitted by the Act, equal to the lesser of $50 or 10% of the price of services that have not been provided.
If you have paid more than the amount payable, CIROPrep will refund the difference within 10 days after cancellation.
If the amount payable exceeds the amounts you have already paid, CIROPrep may claim the difference. We will provide you with a written calculation and payment instructions. No additional cancellation fee or penalty will be added.
Any instalment under the original payment schedule that is no longer payable after this calculation is cancelled. Your access ends when the contract is cancelled.
Never send card information by email.
7. Your exam result (optional)
We may ask you, separately and with an unticked box (for example on My access after your purchase, or after your exam date), whether we may contact you after your exam date to ask for your result and use your answer for aggregate statistics on how well our courses work. It's optional, and you can withdraw it at any time on My access. Accepting these terms is not that consent, and your price and your access don't depend on it.
How we handle your personal information is explained in our privacy policy.
8. Using the content
The content is for your own exam preparation. You may not resell it, share it or publish it.
The content follows the official CIRE syllabus. CIROPrep doesn't guarantee a result on the exam.
9. A copy of your contract
Your order-confirmation email, sent right after your purchase, is your copy of the contract: it shows the course, its total price, both instalments and the due date of the second, the start and end dates of your access, the rate in clause 4, the clause required by the Act and the cancellation form. Keep it or print it. You can also save or print this page; the date at the top shows which version applies.
10. Changes and applicable law
We may update these terms for future purchases. Your purchase stays under the version in force on the day you bought.
For questions or to cancel, write to admin@ciroprep.com. We answer within 2 business days.
These terms are governed by the laws of Québec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Québec's Consumer Protection Act or the consumer-protection laws of your province or territory.
