1. Who we are

CIROPrep is an independent exam-preparation service operated by Ahmed Beddi, a sole proprietorship registered in Québec (NEQ: 2282640103).

  • Address: 130-5645 boul. Grande Allée, Unit 247, Brossard, QC J4Z 3G3
  • Email: admin@ciroprep.com
  • Phone: (438) 238-4310

CIROPrep is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO).

2. Your contract

These terms apply when you buy a CIROPrep element module for the Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (CIRE) on ciroprep.com. Together with the product page and your order confirmation, they form your contract with CIROPrep.

It is a service contract involving sequential performance for instruction, under Québec's Consumer Protection Act. It is entered into at a distance, through ciroprep.com, on the date of your order, and is deemed entered into at your address. The service is provided online, at https://ciroprep.academy; it takes place at no physical location.

3. What a module includes

An element module gives you access to one element of the CIRE syllabus, the one you choose when you buy, in English and French, at ciroprep.academy:

  • that element's lessons, covering each of its parts;
  • its practice questions, with the explanation for each answer;
  • its summaries, flashcards, mind maps and exam tips.

We only sell modules whose content is already published: everything the product page describes is available as soon as you buy. A module doesn't include tutoring.

4. Price, taxes and payment

An element module costs $29 CAD, plus applicable sales taxes. Checkout shows the total, taxes included, before you pay. That total is the only amount you have to pay under the contract.

You pay in one payment, by card, at checkout on ciroprep.com, through Shopify. Your card is authorized when you place your order and charged only once your access is activated (clause 5). If the charge is declined, your access is removed and the order is cancelled. Nothing renews and you are never charged again.

The service is spread over the days of your access period, 181 to 184 days depending on the start date; your order confirmation shows the exact number. The daily rate is the total you paid, taxes included, divided by that number of days, and it is the same for the whole term of the contract. This rate is used for the calculation the Act provides if you cancel (clause 6).

5. Your access

Your access is activated after your payment is authorized and before your card is charged. Sign in to ciroprep.academy with the email you used to pay.

Access lasts 6 months from activation, and then ends on its own. Your order confirmation shows the start date, the end date and the number of days. Nothing is charged when it ends.

Access is for one person. Please don't share your sign-in or copy the content for others.

6. Cancelling and refunds

Full refund within 14 days. Within 14 days after your purchase, you can cancel and get a full refund, whatever you have already used.

Cancel at any time. After those 14 days, you can still cancel your contract at any time, as Québec's Consumer Protection Act provides: send us the cancellation form (clause 12, also annexed to your order confirmation) or another written notice, such as an email. We then calculate the amount payable for the portion of the service provided up to the date of cancellation, at the rate in clause 4, together with any penalty the Act allows (at most the lesser of $50 or 10% of the price of the services not rendered), and refund the balance. The clause required by the Act (clause 11) explains this right.

To cancel, write to admin@ciroprep.com with your order number (never send card details by email). We refund to the card you paid with, within 10 days after the cancellation. Your access ends when you cancel.

7. Your exam result (optional)

We may ask you, separately and with an unticked box (for example on My access after your purchase, or after your exam date), whether we may contact you after your exam date to ask for your result and use your answer for aggregate statistics on how well our courses work. It's optional, and you can withdraw it at any time on My access. Accepting these terms is not that consent, and your price and your access don't depend on it.

How we handle your personal information is explained in our privacy policy.

8. Using the content

The content is for your own exam preparation. You may not resell it, share it or publish it.

The content follows the official CIRE syllabus. CIROPrep doesn't guarantee a result on the exam.

9. A copy of your contract

Your order-confirmation email, sent right after your purchase, is your copy of the contract: it shows the module you bought, its price, the start and end dates of your access, the rate in clause 4, the clause required by the Act and the cancellation form. Keep it or print it. You can also save or print this page; the date at the top shows which version applies.

10. Changes and applicable law

We may update these terms for future purchases. Your purchase stays under the version in force on the day you bought.

For questions or to cancel, write to admin@ciroprep.com. We answer within 2 business days.

These terms are governed by the laws of Québec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Québec's Consumer Protection Act or the consumer-protection laws of your province or territory.

11. Clause required under the Consumer Protection Act

(Service contract involving sequential performance for instruction, training or assistance)

The consumer may cancel this contract at any time by sending the form attached hereto or another notice in writing for that purpose to the merchant.

This contract is cancelled, without further formality, upon the sending of the form or notice.

If the consumer cancels this contract before the merchant has begun the performance of his principal obligation, the consumer has no charge or penalty to pay.

If the consumer cancels this contract after the merchant has begun the performance of his principal obligation, the consumer must pay only:

(a) the price of the services rendered him, computed on the basis of the rate stipulated in the contract; and

(b) the less of the following 2 sums: $50, or a sum representing not more than 10% of the price of the services that were not rendered him.

Within 10 days following the cancellation of the contract, the merchant must restore to the consumer the money he owes him.

It is in the consumer's interest to refer to sections 190 to 196 of the Consumer Protection Act (chapter P-40.1) and, where necessary, to communicate with the Office de la protection du consommateur.
